For The lollipop girl I decided to crimp the whole hair by using a Geisha pins, I then wrap the hair in to the geisha pin going in a zig zag. I did this on to the whole head and it took me 5 hours to create the hair as my model has long and thick hair. I had already advised my model that it will take this long and she was happy to do it.
Even though this was a long process of creating the hair style I have previously tried out the hairstyle with hair crimpers and it did not give the same amount of volume and hold as this technique did I was pretty happy with the outcome of the hair.
