For my timed assessment my model had come a little late on the day as she was travelling from London and there was delays on the way to Southampton. I had to go collect her which didn't give me much time to set up in time before the times assessment had started. Once I reached to university 10mins late due to the circumstances of delays for my model. I then sat her down asking if she wanted to drink anything at all. My model was very tired on the day of the assessment I had to keep conversations going in order to stop her falling asleep because it made it harder to work on someone who was tired. I actually found it very hard she was falling asleep and wasn't able to fully follow instructions I was asking. I gave her some water and sweets to keep her a little more awake. My model had given me advice before applying the foundation she had told me that for skin I need to apply concealer first as she has a lot of concealer. I followed the instructions that she had given me and actually helped with the coverage of her skin. I feel like working with someone who is tired has given me a new experience as in the industry I would get models who have had shoots the night before and are awake early in the morning again for another shoot and would be tired. I know now how to behave in more a personal matter if that was to happen to me in the real world and what situations need to be prepared for. As lateness and being tired can be some situations that can happen. I learnt how to adapt to the situation and work around it while still keeping my performance professional.
For the hair it didn't come out how I was expecting it to look as I wanted it to look more structured at the bottom and I feel like I need to work on another way to create that look. I purposely wanted the hair rollers to look messy as I was going for a retro feel with the hair. The make-up came out perfectly even her base exactly how I was aiming to create the look make-up look for the catwalk.
